Plastic HXs

Plastic heat exchangers are an essential part of AILR's liquid-desiccant air conditioners.  The strong salt solutions that are used in these systems attack most metals, including stainless steels.  Titanium and high nickel alloys could be used in this application, but their costs are high.  The heat exchangers shown here have thousands of hours of successful operation as part of LDACs.
